Thank you, Amplify Church! Your gift to construct two new classrooms in eastern Uganda is currently impacting 273 registered children and 800 adults. Children are now able to attend classes in an environment that is conducive to learning. Your gift will change the trajectory of their lives.

Implementation Progress
Throughout the implementation process, the following steps were completed:
- The church conducted meetings with caregivers and created a plan for implementation.
- The committee hired construction workers and purchased materials.
- Construction workers built the foundation, walls and roof.
- Workers added flooring, plastered walls and installed doors and windows.
- Construction workers painted the interior and exterior classroom walls.
- A technical expert conducted safety inspections.
- Children began classes in the new classrooms.
Church staff and construction workers were challenged with restrictions on travel during the pandemic. Church leaders met with local authorities and were given permission to continue implementation.
Impact of the Intervention
Before the new classrooms were built, children were subject to harsh sun, heat and wind at school. These conditions left children prone to eye infections, respiratory irritation and other illnesses. Children lost motivation to attend school because they were not comfortable.
This intervention has enabled 273 enrolled children to attend classes and church activities in an environment that is conducive to learning. In addition, the two new classrooms help the church to reach 800 adults with other church programs.
Children learn valuable lessons and skills in a safe, comfortable environment. The improved classroom conditions have led to increased attendance and healthier students.
A Testimony From Nyongesa, the Church Pastor
“The children are excited about the new classrooms. Their attendance at program activities has greatly improved. Children are learning valuable lessons and are gaining skills that will help them to one day make a living. Each classroom is equipped with a variety of learning materials. The classrooms provide new opportunities to minister to children in a space where they know they are known, loved and protected. The church has also been able to use classrooms for discipleship courses and counseling sessions. May the Lord bless you for your support and kindness!”
A Testimony From Wamala, a Compassion Participant
“During the dry season, my eyes would hurt because of the dust. During the rainy season, we couldn’t always meet for class. Now, I am happy and look forward to going to school. The classroom stays cool, which makes me want to spend more time learning. I have learned skills that will help me to have a bright future. Your generosity has taught me to always share what I have with those who are in need.”
