Church at Brook Hills, your gift is saving mothers and babies in Rwanda! Teams of leaders, pastors, social workers and others are hard at work in Rwanda. They are working closely with mothers and babies to improve their nutrition, provide prenatal care, educate families about disease, and cultivate vegetable gardens. In this report, you will meet two teams in Nyamyumba and Nyakabungo. You can get a glimpse into two mother’s experiences with the program as well as the pastors of churches who implement Survival in these two communities. Thank you for giving hope through your gifts to those in poverty in Rwanda. Women and babies are benefiting from reduced mortality rates during labor and delivery and access to immunizations is keeping babies healthy. Because of your provision, families are coming to faith in Christ and participating in the local church. Your generosity is an incredible blessing to hundreds in Rwanda!

How old is your child and what is her name?
My child’s name is Rebecca Esther and she is three months old.
Describe any changes in your or your baby’s health since joining the program.
This program is having a positive impact on my baby’s health. Thankfully, we’ve been able to overcome all malnutrition issues for Rebecca, get medical care, and receive all necessary immunizations. We are healthy because we are given supplementary foods to help us get a balanced diet.
How has being part of the program benefited you?
In this program, I receive appropriate medical care and supplies such as bottles and saucepans that help me care for my baby. I was trained to prepare a balanced diet and cultivate a kitchen garden to provide vegetables that will help us overcome malnutrition-related diseases.
What do you enjoy most about being a part of the program?
I enjoy participating in various church activities like group choir and being visited by a Survival Specialist at my home. She’s a great teacher.
What is one thing you have learned from being a part of the program?
One thing I have learned is that nothing beats being compassionate.
Pastor Letter
Dear Church at Brook Hills,
We greet you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, peace be with you.
I am Ndagijimana, the Parish Pastor of the Nyamuymba Student Center and I would like to thank you for granting us the Child Survival Program benefiting pregnant women and babies up to one year of age. This program helps decrease the number of deaths of children under age of five and the number of pregnant women who die in the delivery room. We are assured that with God and your support we will do our best to help release these mothers and the babies from poverty in Jesus’ name.
We thank you and may God bless you in all of your ways.
Ndagijimana

Pastor Letter
Dear Church at Brook Hills,
I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ. My name is Isaacar, the pastor of the Nyakabungo Parish. We have 15 caregivers in the program; 13 mothers with children and two women who are pregnant. Thank you for investment in the Survival program which allows us to care for vulnerable mothers and children in this area. Through your support, we are able to provide the beneficiaries with flour for porridge, sugar, cooking oil, fish, baby clothes, and much more.
Your gift helps expectant mothers receive medical care, thereby reducing the mortality rate of pregnant women and infants. The Survival program is helping vulnerable children reach their first birthday! Mothers are being transformed spiritually, and accepting Jesus as their Lord. Thank you and may God bless you for your support of those caregivers and their children.
We praise our God for all things He did and is doing for us and in our community.
Faithfully,
Rev. Isaacar
