Your Ministry to Mothers and Babies in Togo

January 26, 2022

Church at Brook Hills, your generous support is making a great difference to mothers and their babies at nine Survival centers in Togo. By supporting Compassion’s Survival program, you are giving babies the best possible start in life, ensuring they get the care they need, from before birth until they reach their crucial first birthday. From regular growth monitoring and supplemental food, to immunization and specialist care, they are known, loved and protected from the very beginning.

Impact of Your Gift

This update covers three Survival programs you support at Assembly of God church partners in Togo.  Mothers are equipped through breastfeeding instruction, pre- and postnatal care and access to a skilled birth attendant. Thanks to you, they can bring a precious new life into the world with confidence, knowing that they will not only have professional care but also the emotional and spiritual support they need when they are at their most vulnerable. For a full year, both mother and baby are accompanied every step of the way as they begin their journey out of poverty.

Charlotte (pictured above), describes the impact of Survival care on the life of her baby:

“Before joining the Survival program, I lost six babies in pregnancy or during childbirth. I joined the Survival program during my seventh pregnancy and now I have a healthy 1-year-old child. The care that I received from Survival staff allowed my baby to survive. I thank God for this undeserved grace, along with the Survival Specialists, donors, and Compassion International for this program that enabled me to experience joy as a mother.”
