Greetings, Calvary East Valley! Thank you for your support of a new child development center in Ghana. Currently, 210 children are registered as Compassion participants. Thanks to your generosity, the center is staffed, and children are learning about the love of Christ. Among other benefits, children receive tutoring, have access to medical care and enjoy home visits from program staff. In the photo above, new staff members gather at the church.

A Letter From Robert, the Partnership Facilitator
Compassion’s Partnership Facilitators manage relationships with local churches, helping them build capacity, mobilize resources and strengthen ownership of the ministry.
Dear Friends,
Church leaders and our various stakeholders at Global Evangelical Church in the Volta region of Ghana wish to express their profound gratitude and appreciation to God for your immense investment.
Your generosity has greatly impacted our ability to address pressing priorities. The church now has a fully-furnished office and supplies that enable our staff to run programs more efficiently. This helps us reach our goal of releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name.
The church’s child development center is overseen by a pastor and five church committee members. Three child development staff members have been hired including a project director, an accountant and a social worker. The center is blessed with volunteer staff including seven teachers, three cooks and a cleaner.
Once again, I acknowledge the essential role you’ve played in the launch of this child development center at Global Evangelical Church. On behalf of everyone, I would like to say thank you and God bless you.

Meet the Hands and Feet of Jesus
Three new staff members have been hired. Center staff have expertise in teaching, spiritual leadership, accounting, cooking and more. These staff members will serve as positive role models and will support children in their intellectual, emotional, spiritual and physical development.
