A Letter From a Caregiver at KAG Githunguchu Church
Dear Sponsors,
My name is Deborah, I am 27 years old and married with a beautiful baby, Favor, who is one month old. I give glory to God that I was able to join Survival during my pregnancy and now have a healthy baby. I had two previous pregnancies and my babies were stillborn or died immediately after birth.
Thanks to prayers, moral support and counseling, I have healed from grief. The Survival staff visited me, prayed for me and gave me hope that the baby I was carrying would survive. The staff monitored my vital signs during their visits and made sure I had prenatal care. Miraculously, God blessed us with a beautiful bouncing baby girl weighing almost eight pounds! We named the baby Favor, because to us it was true favor from God.
I salute the Survival staff for their unending support. For the short time I have been in Survival, I have received monthly food supplements, and learned the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, infant immunizations, and how to make soap. Above all, my husband and I are learning the Bible. I am looking forward to acquiring more knowledge from the intervention. May God abundantly bless the donors who make this program available to me and my fellow mothers. Families in our communities are changed because of the hope that the church is building in us. You will always be in our prayers.
Yours faithfully,
Deborah
