A Letter from Damaris, Caregiver at POMC Najile Church
I greet you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. On behalf of all Survival caregivers, I want to take this opportunity to thank God for the gift of life He has given us. He has kept us safe with our children, and we thank Him so much. Secondly, I wish to thank you on behalf of my fellow caregivers for choosing to support us. Thank you so much for everything you have given. We are so grateful. Usually during the program, we start our day with a morning devotion. Every one of us is given a chance to participate in leading prayers and praises. We are all very thankful for the ability to lead because many of us have not had these opportunities before. We also attend skills classes. I have learned bead work, soap making and tailoring. We had started making a few things before the COVID-19 pandemic. During our program days, we always learn about and are encouraged from the Word of God. I have also learned how to take care of my children. I recently was trained how to breastfeed a child and the different ways you can hold a baby. We receive medical screenings for cancer and general health, and I receive health care support any time my child falls sick. I also have received food for my children, and I thank God. Please support us in your prayers. We are also praying for you that God keeps you, your family and your country safe. God will surely take care of you. Please read Psalm 20 and Psalm 91, and I pray that this be your portion, even in the midst of COVID-19.
Thank you so much,
Damaris
