A Message of Thanks from Esther
Greetings in the name of Jesus,
My name is Esther, and I am mother to Benard. I am glad that I was selected to be a beneficiary of the Survival program when I was pregnant. I have benefited a lot since I joined the program. I gave birth to my baby during COVID-19. The church has made follow-up visits to ensure that I am breastfeeding correctly. When my baby turned six months old, I learned how to prepare food for him and feed him. I was given a book called, “The First 1,000 Days” which gave me a lot of information on how to feed my baby. The church also made follow-up visits to ensure that my baby was getting the right immunizations and to monitor his growth. This has helped my son very much, and he is growing up to be very healthy.
I also received a Bible from the center to help me grow spiritually. During the difficult times of COVID-19, I received spiritual support from the church which encouraged me so much. I have become a member of the church, and I am happy to raise my children as Christians. I have also learned some income-generating skills such as bead work and thread work. The skills are of benefit to me because I hope to earn an income from them in the future. I learned how to take care of my children and how to take care of my home and the environment around me. This has helped me a lot because now I can protect my family from diseases. I will never forget how the church helped my family with food baskets during the pandemic. I want to thank you and the church for your kindness, and I pray that God blesses you!
Esther
