Greetings in Jesus’ name,

My name is Mary, and I am married to Gilbert. We are blessed with three children. I was happy when my twin daughters, Roseline and Elizabeth, were recruited into the Survival Program at ACK St. Paul’s Wandeche Child Development Center. At the center I learned about exclusive breastfeeding, which has helped me breastfeed my two daughters well. I am happy because my children are in good health due to the proper feeding lessons that I am now using.

Other lessons I have benefited from in the Survival program include planning and managing my time as a mother. I have learned to plan my activities well while I’m at home taking care of my children. I have also been trained on the importance of being economically independent, and the center gave me capital to start a small business. Through the support I received, I bought hens which helped me raise chicks that I can sell. Through my small business, I am able to meet our daily needs at home. Other lessons that the center workers teach include HIV prevention, the importance of prenatal and postnatal care, good hygiene, and how to make balanced meals for our families. May God bless you so much for the support I get from you through the Survival program. Please pray for me that my business will continue growing.

Yours faithfully,
Mary

Esther started her own poultry business and earned enough income to purchase a goat for her family. She hopes to continue growing her business and buy a cow in the near future.
