Physical and Spiritual Growth Through Compassion Survival
Hello,
Greetings to you on behalf of my fellow Survival mothers. My name is Charity, and I am mother to Priscah. It is my great hope that you are safe and God has protected you and his mercies have been upon you. We are so grateful for his love. I hope and pray that this letter finds you well. It is also my hope that you are staying safe during this pandemic. My fellow mothers are safe, and I thank God that none of us have had the virus. I would like to encourage you to continue staying safe and also trusting God that through his love and grace, everything will be well.
I want to take this chance to express my gratitude to you for your support of this program. We are so grateful and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Since I joined this program, I have never regretted it. I have learned so much that I couldn’t have learned on my own. I joined the program while I was pregnant, and through this period I learned how to take care of my unborn baby even before I met her. I learned how important it is to create a bond with my baby and the importance of going for checkups during the pregnancy period.
At the center, we have medical consultations with a doctor. Through this, I have learned the importance of breastfeeding my baby exclusively for up to six months. I also learned about immunizations, family planning methods, and I have received health screenings. In addition, we also receive nutritional supplements from the center for our babies and our families. This has been so helpful in maintaining a healthy diet, which is important for the growth of our babies. We also have had the chance to explore our skills and teach one another. We had a salon skills workshop where we taught one another how to do hair. Many of us have benefited and can do it on our own now. Some have started their own salons so they can have an income.
We are so grateful for all the support we receive from the center and are always praying to God that his love and blessings may be upon you. Please continue praying for us and our babies. We also request that you pray for the pregnant mothers to have a safe pregnancy period and birth. I would like to encourage you with 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, and I pray that you keep trusting in God because he is truly faithful.
Yours faithfully,
Charity
