A Personal Message From a Caregiver

Greetings in Jesus’ name,

I wish to take this opportunity to thank God for taking care of the families in our community, our small children, and also you. On behalf of all POMC Najile Survival caregivers and babies, I wish to share my sincere gratitude for the support that you have been giving us. Thank you for choosing to support us through this program. We appreciate it so much!

Secondly, I want you to know that I have grown in many aspects of my life. Spiritually, we have received a lot of insight learning about the Word of God together, and also what the Bible teaches about mothers and caregivers of children. We have also learned how to feed our children with locally-available food and to create balanced meals. I have also learned important hygiene lessons and how to keep our environment clean.

Additionally, I learned how to connect with my children right from the start, when they are infants until they are independent. Economically, we have learned how to do simple things that can earn us some income for our day-to-day needs. Our center has supported us through nutrition, and we usually receive food every month which we share with our families. The food packages ensure that our children are healthy. Survival Specialists also check our children’s height and weight, and they support us with medical care. All of us have received support to generate an income by getting a bee hive, a small business loan, or beads for bead work. This is to ensure that we can earn an income and a livelihood.

I thank God for this opportunity. Finally, I ask that you please pray for our country and our land. There is currently an ongoing drought, but we trust that with our joint prayers, God will intervene and give us rain. Once again, thank you very much and may God shower you with his blessings!

Sincerely,
Jospine
