A Message From the Church Pastor

Dear Friends,

Greetings From Tabora, Tanzania. I hope all is well with you and your family,

My name is Emmanuel. I am a pastor of Evangelistic Assemblies of God Tanzania (EAGT) – Usimba church. The church entered into partnership with Compassion International Tanzania in November 2022, for serving children in need by releasing them from poverty in Jesus’ name.

On behalf of the church, I would like to convey my earnest gratitude for your humble and generous heart of supporting the church partner by providing us with funds to serve the program participants. The funds were used for renovation and completion of two classrooms, a pit latrine, a project staff office, kitchen utensils, and purchase of some small facilities to support execution of office activities. This work will create a conducive learning environment to program participants. Currently, the church has a well-established child ministry committee, appointed professional child and youth tutors, and employed one child ministry worker to implement the overall program at the center.

The church has a plan of finishing the construction activities by November 2023 through local resource mobilization and your Sponsorship Launch support funds. It is my sincere belief that the interventions that are in progress at our church will contribute to a great impact to the registered program participants, EAGT – Usimba, and the community as well.

We hope that our dear children here at the center will be empowered and become light to their families and communities at large because of good care and morals instilled to them through the Word of God, prayers, and the best curriculum run here at the center.

We thank you so much that you have been a good friend to us and children as you support the mission of our Father God by empowering these children.

Again, on behalf of our church and the community where the church is located, I would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for your generosity to support the children in need.

May the Lord Jesus Bless you and keep you.

Yours in Christ,

Emmanuel

An Interview With Katani

How far is the center from your home, and how do you get to it?

My home is one kilometer away from the center, and I usually go to the center on foot.

Why do you enjoy coming to the center?

I enjoy coming to the center due to the reason that we do learn various Bible stories by our tutors, and playing together with friends, as well as having good meals together. My favorite activities are drawing animals, and learning the Bible stories.

What is one thing you’ve learned?

I have learned to pray well.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to be a nurse, because nurses treat us with kindness and love. They inspire me a lot.

Delivering Hope to Children

Jesus said, “And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me” (Matthew 18:5, NIV).

Because of your generous heart, children at EAGT – Usimba Church are now experiencing life-changing programs that will help them break the chains of poverty and grow into their God-given potential.  Thank you for making such a profound difference!
