Greetings, Northbrook Church! Your generous support of Compassion’s Survival program at Corderitos de Jesús Student Center in Morazan, El Salvador, is helping remove the obstacles that stand in the way of babies’ healthy development. You are providing them with everything they need to reach their first birthday as thriving infants, ready to begin their journey out of poverty and start learning about the world around them.
Since the last update, mothers and babies have continued to benefit from comprehensive care, life-changing education and practical assistance that will improve babies’ health outcomes, encourage healthy brain development and support physical growth. The babies can look forward to a bright future as a cherished part of the Compassion family, and the mothers can be confident that their precious child will receive everything they need to grow strong and healthy.

Words of Gratitude From Mercedes, a Caregiver
Dear Friends,
Hello! I greet you with blessings and hope you and your family are doing well. I have four children, and I’m so grateful to receive your support for this program. It is a great blessing to our babies’ lives.
I joined the Survival program when I was six months pregnant, and received prenatal checkups, medication, a Bible and a newborn essentials kit. My daughter was born healthy and is the best gift from God. She is my only girl and I love watching her grow.
My daughter and I find many of the program benefits useful. She has reached key developmental milestones such as sitting up on her own, fine and gross motor skills and spatial awareness. She has also started grabbing objects with her hands. My favorite program activities are the early stimulation exercises, group meetings, Bible studies and food packages.
I hope that God keeps you healthy and provides for your needs. Please pray for my baby and my family, that he will keep us healthy and strengthen us. Thank you for all that you are doing in the lives of our babies.
God bless you,
Mercedes
