Dear Friends,
Receive many blessings from the Lord. I want to thank you for the investment you made to the child development center Buenas Nuevas Isaías 61:1, which operates at the Church of God located in the La Flor community on Ometepe Island, Riva, Nicaragua.
It is one of the first centers on the Ometepe Island. We have 164 registered children with very few resources to release them from poverty in Jesus’ name.
The congregation of the Church of God in La Flor is thankful and expressed their gratitude for this blessing, which will greatly improve the lives of the children when they attend the center.
The process to start a partnership began the first few months of 2016. At that time, we were facing difficulties to assist children properly due to bathrooms in bad condition and very little space. After multiple visits from the Compassion ministry and talks with pastor and church leaders, we were able to form a partnership in November 2016.
Thanks to the funds received by the center, the church is making arrangements to better equip the center and care for the children. Some of the things we´ll buy are: chairs, technologic equipment (computer, printer, scanner), divisions for classrooms, a roof, office equipment, teaching material, a nebulizer, balance beam scale, and improving the kitchen and equipping it with glasses, cups, spoons, an industrial stove and a freezer. The funds will also pay for the children’s first medical checkups.
The impact in the community and among church members and the children’s parents is great. They are identifying more with the church work and the children’s holistic needs.
The church is so motivated that some church members are contributing their own resources, strengths and abilities to the construction project.
We pray for God to bless you in a great way for all your help, that your job may be successful, and that your family be blessed always, hoping one day to have you visiting this country of lakes and volcanoes and visiting Buenas Nuevas Isaías 61:1 in the Ometepe Island.
I say goodbye now, reaffirming our words of gratitude and blessings from God.
Sincerely in Christ,
Luvy Pichardo Pichardo
