Our Savior Lutheran Church, thank you for your investment in Compassion Survival at Iglesia Bautista Sendero de Luz, located in Managua, Nicaragua. Thanks to your gracious giving, babies served by Compassion Survival have a greater likelihood of reaching their first birthday. Your generosity enables the staff at this center to provide critical care to its community’s children at the time of life when they need it the most — at the very beginning! We are pleased to share this update on recent activities at the center and the transformation you have made possible for families. This update contains a letter from a caregiver (pictured above), statistics, and activity photos. We hope you feel as blessed by this report as they have been by your investment.

A Letter From a Caregiver at Iglesia Bautista Sendero de Luz
Dear Donors,
I hope in God that you and your family are in good health and may God bless you greatly. I am Herlinda, the mother of baby Daycharis. I want to tell you how grateful I am for the Survival program. I am of limited resources and this program is a great blessing to my family. During my pregnancy, I was very ill. After my daughter was born, I still felt weak. When the Survival program realized my condition was not normal, the director came to my home with another staff member. The director called the doctor associated with Compassion Survival, when the doctor arrived he diagnosed me with severe anemia due to complications during childbirth. Compassion Survival provided me with all the medications I needed, and I feel very grateful for the support.
My daughter is developing well and also benefits from the program. I like to attend group activities because my daughter is learning to be more sociable, and I also like the classes that I receive at home.
Thank you for your generosity. I wish blessings for your life.
Herlinda
